Santa Damiana is a Dominican brand of hand-rolled cigars, produced at the Tabacalera de García in La Romana. According to cigarworld.de (October 2026), its breakthrough dates from 1992 with its first cigar. Retailers (timecigar.com) say it is inherited from Cuba, with no year and no Cuban factory given.
Retailers present it in a mild to medium register, with a blond Connecticut wrapper and a Dominican binder (timecigar.com, zigarrenversand.ch, October 2026). Cigarworld.de now describes two series, including the Classic, and a variety of formats.
The Tabacalera de García is, according to the trade press (2019), the heart of the production of Tabacalera USA, the American subsidiary of Imperial Brands, which took over Altadis in 2007.
