Freud Cigar Co.

Freud is a house of 2022, and it had five months of quiet. Luis Torres and David Stadnyk launched it in New York in the spring, as a subsidiary of Agape Lifestyle Inc., with a first cigar named SuperEgo — the superego, the part of Freudian theory that judges. It is rolled at Tabacalera William Ventura, in Tamboril, whose entry this atlas carries. On 26 September of that same year, the factory burned.

This entry therefore exists for two reasons. The first is ordinary: a brand conceived in New York, rolled in the Dominican Republic, and this atlas naming the factory. The second is the date: Freud is the youngest of the houses the 2022 fire touched, and its second line, AlterEgo, came out in 2023, during the rebuild, from the satellite workshops and El Maestro.

The names follow the theory — SuperEgo, AlterEgo — and one waits for the Ego. The house does not yet say whether it will come.

Amorío has a wrapper of habano seed grown in Ecuador over a Sumatra binder from Indonesia, in Robusto 5 x 50, Corona Gorda 5½ x 46, Toro 6 x 54 and Churchill 7 x 48, a blend by Wiber Ventura, rolled at Tabacalera William Ventura according to Cigar Coop, at El Maestro according to a retailer.
