Flavoroute is the brand of Flavoroute GmbH, whose head office is in Schwaig, near Nuremberg. Its managing directors, Oliver Breiter and Oliver Pickl, say that they found no regional tobacco speciality in Franconia during their studies, and that they decided in 2015 to found the company. Their first product, the Wildkirsch #1, was born of a collaboration with the Ziegler distillery, of Freudenberg, in Mainfranken: a cigar refined with wild cherry, says the house.
The house says its cigars are rolled in the heart of Germany, and that the Wildkirsch #1 is hand-rolled, made exclusively for it and entirely in Germany; it does not name its factory. Its filler, described as mediumfiller, blends Burley and Dark Air Cured tobaccos coming mainly from the Dominican Republic with a Franconian tobacco, beneath a binder from Java and a Connecticut Shade wrapper; this torpedo measures about 156 mm by 22 mm. In September 2026, the house's shop still offers it.
Cigarworld.de files two Flavoroute longfillers under the Dominican Republic, described as totally hand-made, with a Connecticut wrapper and a binder from the Dominican Republic: a Tubo in the catalogue since 23 August 2016, with a filler from Honduras, and a Toro in the catalogue since 30 November 2020. In September 2026, it lists them as unavailable; the house does not say where they were rolled.
