Firecracker is a brand of short cigars, in the 3 1/2 x 50 size, with a head drawn out into a fuse, born of David Garofalo, owner of the chain of shops Two Guys Smoke Shop, in New Hampshire, and of the distribution company United Cigars. The house dates its launch to 2006; Cigar Coop places the start of the series in 2007, with a first Firecracker rolled by My Father Cigars for the Two Guys shops, to mark Independence Day. The series then became an annual edition entrusted to different manufacturers, which United Cigars distributes across the country, says Cigar Coop.
The house does not name the factory of the regular-production Firecrackers; it says they are crafted by hand in the Dominican Republic. Cigar Coop places them at Tabacalera Magia Cubana, owned by José Dominguez, and Cigars Daily, like Atlantic Cigar, in Santiago. In October 2026, the house presents three lines, Sun Grown, Maduro and Connecticut, the last shown at the TPE 2024 trade show as a permanent line, says Cigars Daily; its catalogue also includes La Gianna and Red Anchor, which a small red anchor recalls on the band of the Maduro.
The annual Independence Firecracker edition, marking 250 years of the United States, is crafted in 2026 at Arnold André Dominicana, and not at Magia Cubana: Mexican Habano wrapper, Dominican binder, Dominican and Nicaraguan ligero, in tins of twelve, says Cigar Coop. The Premium Cigar Association says it is being shipped to retailers on 24 June 2026.
