On Calle Ocho, in Little Havana, a handful of rollers work behind a window, by hand, a few metres from the passers-by. El Titan de Bronze is one of the last working cigar factories in Miami, and probably the most visible: you can watch the rolling.
That matters for the atlas. After 1960, Miami was the capital of the Cuban exile and the refuge of the torcedores who had left the island; dozens of workshops operated there, almost all since gone. What remains fits into a few addresses, and this one still trains rollers by Cuban methods — entirely by hand, without a mechanical mould for the most demanding shapes.
The house rolls its own lines and also produces, in very small runs, for brands that want cigars made in the United States. The volume is negligible on the scale of the trade; the heritage value is not.
Altezas Reales 1871 is the brand of Rafael Cifuentes III, great-grandson of Ramón Cifuentes Llano, former owner of the Partagás factory. Presented in September 2023 at Dadeland, in Florida, it is rolled in Miami in this factory: Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler, in Robusto, Corona and Toro, with an announced run of 1 000 boxes per size. Cifuentes says he drew his inspiration from the Partagás of the 1990s, especially the Serie D No. 4; he distributes the brand through his company, Flor de Tabacos La Lealtad. In October 2026, Luxury Cigar Club shows all sizes as sold out.
Range Depth
Grand Reserve
Rolled by hand on Calle Ocho, by torcedores trained in Cuban methods. Full-bodied, frank, with the evenness only a small, closely watched run can give.
Robusto
Serie 1995
The medium register of the house, in tribute to the year it opened. Pale wrapper, gentler profile, the same hands.
Corona
🥃 Pairings
Cuban cafecito
In Little Havana it is less a pairing than a habit — and it works.
White rum
Dry and direct, it does not distract from a cigar smoked for its construction.
