According to an initial halfwheel article, Chateau Diadem was founded in 2020 by the Swiss cousins Thierry Farah and Emily Sahakian, settled in the Dominican Republic; a more recent article from the same site, devoted to the launch of the Certitude line, instead places the founding in 2022, with the two versions not reconciled by the sources consulted. The house owns its own factory at Navarrete, in the PISANO industrial free-trade zone north of Santiago (halfwheel), where its cigars are entirely hand-rolled (havanahouse.co.uk).
The range includes several lines: the Splendor, created by the roller Eladio Díaz with an Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper, a Mexican San Andrés binder and Dominican filler, on sale in Europe since 2024, and which halfwheel reported would reach the United States in the spring of 2026; the Alisio, conceived as lighter and more affordable, with an Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper and Dominican and Nicaraguan filler; and the Midnight Wonder, with a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, developed over close to three years. The Conviction line, moreover, was renamed Certitude for the American market and launched at the PCA 2025 trade show (halfwheel); the house's website also mentions a Monkey Business line, with no detail given on wrapper or strength.
