According to the pages of the distributor cigarworld.de, the house Charles Fairmorn dates back to 1972 in the United States, before opening a German branch in Hamburg, then in Dingelstädt (Thuringia) and in Lübeck; the same pages state that production of the Belmore began in 2001 in the Dominican Republic, with the brand marketed from 2003. The trade press places the origin of the Dominican factory differently: halfwheel, writing about Kristoff, identifies a company named Charles Fairmorn S.A., established in 2000-2001 in Santiago, which has since become the present-day Tabacalera von Eicken S.R.L., which also rolls Kristoff and Epic Cigars. The continuity between the 1972 American entity and this factory is not shown by any of the press sources consulted.
The documented range counts two lines: the Belmore Connecticut (formerly Clasico), an American Connecticut Shade wrapper with Dominican and Nicaraguan filler, described as mild by the distributor, and the Belmore Maduro, a Brazilian maduro wrapper with a flavour described as sweet. The brand remains in the catalogue of several retailers, with no recent coverage from the trade press specific to it.
