Villa Vieja

Fernando Navarro creates Villa Vieja as a tribute to Estelí, his home town, through his company Cigar Conexion, says the house. The first blending trials date from 26 November 2019; the first commercial production dates back to April 2022, and the brand is launched to the public in the middle of that same year. The house names among the blend's craftsmen Eduardo and Max Fernández, as well as Jacinto Iglesias and Harold Zeledón.

Villa Vieja is rolled at Aganorsa Leaf, says the house — the factory Tabacos Valle de Jalapa S.A. that the Fernández family owns in Estelí. There, Navarro rolls a single line, Clásico, Habano wrapper grown in Jalapa, Nicaraguan filler and binder, medium to full body, in three formats (Short, Robusto, Toro); at InterTabac in September 2026, he presents a fourth format, Grandeur (5½ x 60): the line had no vitola in a 60 ring gauge, he says.

Navarro has his sister brand Don Duarte, as well as Cuervo y Sobrinos, rolled by his partner Raymond Pages, at the Tabacalera Pages in Estelí.
