Room101 was born of a jeweller. Matt Booth launched a silver jewellery brand under that name in 2003, in Los Angeles, and moved into cigars in 2009 through a deal with Camacho. It is the usual path in reverse: the design first, the leaf after — and it shows on the bands.

Davidoff of Geneva distributed the brand from 2009 to 2017. Booth then left the trade and broke with the Swiss group, which this atlas holds as Oettinger Davidoff.

Scandinavian Tobacco Group bought Room101 in 2022 and kept Booth as creative director. In February 2026 the group reshuffled: the brand moved to the General Cigar side while Cohiba USA and Punch Honduras went to Forged. This atlas holds both companies, and it is the same move.

Production is split, and this entry says so rather than hiding it. Most comes out of Tabacalera A.J. Fernández, in Estelí; Farce Nicaragua comes from Joya de Nicaragua, Big Payback from HATSA, in Honduras. This entry is Nicaraguan because the atlas files by the principal place — not because everything is made there.
