IGM — Inversiones González Martínez — is a small San José factory that presents itself as a boutique: sizes and blends found nowhere else, made by hand, and often to order for the client who chooses the blend. The house says it was founded in 1997 by a family with Cuban roots, the González Ferrers, one of whom, José González Ferrer, is an agricultural engineer trained in Cuba; it grows at Santa Marta de Puriscal, in the mountains above nine hundred metres, and also buys leaf in the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Peru and Ecuador.

It is known through its clients: Casdagli, the British house already in this atlas, has entrusted it since 2013 with its cigars for Saudi Arabia, then its Daughters of the Wind line in 2018 and Cypher 3311 in 2022 — Dominican and Peruvian filler, Costa Rican binder and wrapper, a roller named Luis for the Cremellos. The factory opens its farm to visitors, from seed to cigar.

No independent paper has described it; the entry comes from the house and its client, and says so. It has an entry because IGM is Casdagli's factory — the same logic as between Tabacalera Palma and Aging Room.
