Ezra Zion is a Texas house founded by two enthusiasts, Chris Kelly and Kyle Hoover, who began in July 2012 with two lines — the Honor Series Reagan and an Inception since renamed Jamais Vu — then Tantrum. The first three blends were Nicaraguan puros, and it was a Nicaraguan by adoption who made them: Noel Rojas, the Cuban blender in Estelí whose entry this atlas carries, then in his Aromas de Jalapa workshop. This atlas therefore classifies it in Nicaragua, where its cigars are rolled, not in Texas, where they are conceived.
The house sells in small series, with names that are sentences — All My EX's, FHK Truth — and a way of telling each cigar as a story. It is a publishing model more than a manufacturing one, and it found its public.
In September 2018, Fred Rewey sold it Nomad Cigar Company, whose entry this atlas carries: Ezra Zion thus owns two brands of this atlas, and Nomad, too, passes through Rojas's hands. It also bought Cigar Federation, an enthusiasts' forum — a house that owns the place where people talk about it.
